Location: Canal du Midi
Capacity: 6 Guests
The wonderful 6-passenger Clair de Lune is owned by barging veterans Barbara and Berend Gozens and has been a Frontiers favorite since her debut in 1998. Built specifically to cruise the Canal du Midi, "Clair" features especially bright interiors thanks to the exceptionally large picture windows (that open for fresh air) in both the living/dining salon and spacious sleeping cabins. Fabrics have been tastefully chosen in the Provencal colors which complement the cherry furniture, and the good-sized tiled bathrooms with enclosed shower stalls offer a great hot shower while cruising on this historic canal. Now boasting a beautiful hot tub in the bow of the sun deck, guests can enjoy a moonlit evening sipping an aperitif in the Jacuzzi. Speaking of the sun deck, "Clair" has one of the largest decks of any barge in France, with comfy seating. This bright and airy barge with its experienced and top-notch crew is a huge success on the Canal du Midi, providing a top-quality holiday. Ask about the Gourmet Wine option, which provides friendly and educational encounters with various winemakers of the Languedoc, several noted in past Wine Spectator issues.
