C’est La Vie translates to “That’s Life” and we would add, “That’s THE GOOD life!”  The 8-passenger C’est La Vie is one dandy barge for either two people booking a single cabin or four couples traveling together.  C’est La Vie is owner-operated by one of the most experienced and service-oriented couples in the barge industry.  Olivier and Deborah are onboard and ever-present to ensure that you’re receiving the cruise experience you envisioned.  Travelers benefit by booking a barge that has owners with years of experience in the barge business cruising with them.  These former-employees-turned-owners know what travelers expect and offer this at a fair price.  C’est La Vie has four unusually spacious and extremely comfortable cabins with roomy, modern bathrooms and generous showers.

During the first half of the season, the itinerary wanders along the Burgundy Canal blending medieval towns, Renaissance chateaux, small family-run restaurants and an ever-present towpath for individual walking or cycling.  During the second half of the season, Olivier and Deborah have decided to try cruising in Champagne which will feature a Champagne tasting (of course!) at Moet et Chandon in Epernay, dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant “Les Crayeres” in Reims, and plenty of historical sites such as the “Chemin des Dames” and the WW1 battlefield and cemetery of Belleau Wood.  Pricing offers good value for the ultra-deluxe quality received on C’est La Vie.  No riding a train for their guests—round-trip travel from Paris to the barge is by private minivan.  Cuisine onboard is prepared by one of the most skilled chefs in Burgundy, carefully selected wines are Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, and everything about this immaculately-kept barge is tip-top.
