About Panache

The 12-passenger Panache does marvelous Tulip Cruises during April and May, and then makes her way on re-positioning cruises from Belgium through Champagne to the charming Alsace region where she remains from mid-June until the end of October.  A bright and spacious living room adjoins the dining room which boasts very comfortable seating (for lingering over the amazing meals!).  One component of this barge we have always appreciated is the six equal state cabins which are well designed and boast excellent storage – with new carpeting and fresh new bathrooms.  Beds can be made up as two separate beds or one large bed and the newly refurbished bathrooms have excellent large showers, massage jets and double sinks.  While cruising along the canal, guests can relax in the Jacuzzi on the spacious deck, and two new beautiful Mercedes minibuses provide the utmost comfort while touring during the week.  Some excursion highlights include visiting the famous Keukenhof Gardens in Holland with the largest display of flowers in the world, or traveling along the incredibly scenic Alsatian Wine route, with a private wine tasting along the way of course!

The Panache is an excellent hotel barge operation - it was formerly known as the Marjorie II under its previous owners, and was purchased in 2011 by a savvy and very experienced Brit who added Panache to his highly regarded fleet.  An unusual touch in canal barges, this vessel has a relatively modern design with sleek interior appointments that reflect the perfect blend of illumination and elegance, complemented by a very gracious welcome.    Beautiful Panache represents both comfort and a quality experience – definitely a Frontiers favorite to recommend for both intact charter groups or individual couples.
