Tasting Chile

Join Mollie Fitzgerald and Tarquin Millington-Drake for an escorted trip, "Tasting Chile: A Gastronomic and Cultural Journey," March 28-April 11, 2011. This is a tailor-made itinerary exploring the best of Chile's natural delights: its outstanding regional cuisines with an array of fresh local products, its fabled vineyards, and the stunning backdrop of its outdoors environment.

Chile has long been one of Frontiers' top picks for travel. It is a destination with diverse natural beauty, from the calving glaciers in Patagonia's fjords to the lush forests of the Lake District to the windswept and star-filled skies of the Atacama Desert. Chile also captivates us with its many contrasts: the urban sophistication of Santiago is complemented by the traditional folklore of the Native American people. In all of these areas, you will find the Chilean hospitality, which has been noted and appreciated by travelers since the 18th century, to be warm and welcoming.

Mollie will be doing a full reconnaissance trip in early December and will have many special touches in store. Although shorter than most hosted trips -- just 12 nights in the country -- there are numerous interesting places to add on if time permits, such as Easter Island or the Torres del Paine National Park at the southernmost tip of Chile, as well as the possibility to fly fish for trout or visit the neighboring countries of Argentina, Peru or Ecuador. As always, we've tried to make it as all-inclusive as possible. Santiago is easy to get to with direct service from New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and Los Angeles and, since it's a north/south flight, with very little jet lag.

Chile is indeed a feast for all of the senses. Look forward to hearing from you and hope you'll join us in Chile.

For more information or to register for the trip, contact Mollie Fitzgerald via email or call the office at 800-245-1950 (724-935-1577).
