Following an extensive renovation during the winter of 2008, the 6 beautifully upgraded cabins, traditional but new furnishings, and richly polished woods of this graceful 12-passenger barge will do nothing but delight her guests. Cruising the heart of Burgundy’s Cote d’Or for the 2012 season, Nenuphar’s itinerary includes an array of interesting daily excursions such as a tour of the historic Hospice in Beaune and a visit to a family-owned castle. Chowhounds take note: dinner off the barge one night is at the venerable restaurant Lameloise, which has three Michelin stars. Three queen- and three king-bedded cabins averaging 155 sq. feet, each with fresh bathrooms and attractive appointments occupy the lower level (The king-bedded cabins can be made up as two separate beds if preferred).
