This inviting 6-passenger barge is owned by Liz McCaughtry, an Irish chef who has embraced the local Mediterranean cuisine with gusto, and her husband Rene is the French pilot with a ready smile and amazing mechanical know-how. Each of Emma's three equal cabins sports a gorgeous handmade Irish quilt that reflects the barge owners' interests, which are primarily the celebrated Canal du Midi, its history and fine cuisine, and the Emerald Isle! Liz keeps an herb garden on the top deck for the perfect touch to her regional specialties, which are often served alfresco under their uniquely designed shade awning. Smart interiors provide an extremely comfortable haven to enjoy Liz & Rene’s amazing cruise, and the itinerary features the seaside ports of Agde and Sete in the summer months. As one guest put it, "The last person who treated me this well was my Mother!"
