The dignified 8-passenger Princess was once owned by billionaire shipping magnate, Mr. Daniel K. Ludwig, and those who knew him well said it was the only place he could relax.  Now a member of the esteemed French Country Waterways fleet, this extremely well dressed lady meanders through the Briare/Sancerre region with many splendid itinerary highlights, such as a day trip to the magnificent 16th century Chateau of Chambord.  You may also enjoy an exhilarating cruise on a majestic 1890s “canal bridge” that crosses the Loire River, designed by Gustav Eiffel.  Accepting individual cabin bookings or intact charters, the Princess provides a grand floating home base from which happy guests can explore this corner of northwestern Burgundy.  In addition to the superb daily excursions, cycling or walking on the well-maintained towpaths is always a possibility.  An experienced and cheerful staff attends to every need or desire—enthusiastically recommended!
