Luxury Cruises

What exactly is luxury cruising? It’s part experience, part hardware, defined by small ships (less than 1,000 passengers -- generally far less) with the ability to anchor in less-visited, intimate ports of call; personalized and attentive service; spacious deluxe staterooms; fine cuisine and wine served on board; interesting, unique itineraries; and all-inclusive or nearly all-inclusive pricing. Silversea, the Yachts of Seabourn, Regent, SeaDream Yacht Club and Oceania are hallmarks of the luxury cruise set, and all have a knack for getting the “little things” just right, whether they be Bvlgari toiletries in your marble bathroom (separate shower and tub, of course), fresh flowers in your suite each morning, or a bottle of your favorite champagne delivered on your birthday. These are not your monster ships that flood coastal cities with hoards of tourists and force you to mingle at mealtime with assigned seating and buffet fare. This is sophisticated cruising, allowing guests the greatest degree of flexibility in how, when and where they spend their time on board and ashore while unpacking only once.

However, no two cruise lines are alike, and the dynamics and demographics of each luxury cruise line, be it Silversea, the Yachts of Seabourn, Regent, SeaDream, or Oceania, differ in subtle ways. This is when you need the guidance of an experienced travel agent, someone who has sailed there and can compare the nuances and “personalities” of each cruise line, vessel and itinerary. At Frontiers’ Elegant Journeys, we consider knowledge from first-hand experience paramount to offering qualified guidance and making recommendations based on your individual expectations. Our agents travel frequently to stay apprised of what is new in the luxury cruise world and maintain our close relationships with the top cruise lines. The contacts we have made, as well as our affiliation with Virtuoso and their Voyager Club Program, frequently translate into extra savings, upgrades and amenities for our clients, additional value you’d never receive booking direct with the cruise company.

Virtuoso’s Voyager Club offers travelers complimentary benefits on select departures with the world’s best cruise lines. It provides guests with the services of a dedicated on-board host throughout the cruise, a special welcome cocktail reception, and a choice between shipboard credit (approximately $150 per person) or the opportunity to participate in an exclusive shore excursion, generally valued at $250 per person. These benefits are available only to those who book their cruise through a Virtuoso-affiliated travel agency, such as Frontiers’ Elegant Journeys. For excellent added value; superior destination and product knowledge; customized pre- and post-cruise itineraries; privately arranged shore excursions; and attentive, personalized customer service, contact the Elegant Journeys Department for your next cruise.

Who We've Cruised With Recently:

Silversea Logo Most recently, Frontiers travel specialist Jill Jergel was aboard the Silver Whisper in November 2009, on a unique itinerary that departed from Barbados and cruised up the Brazilian Amazon to Manaus. For information on their expedition ship the Prince Albert II, the only true luxury ship that cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic, please visit our webpage on the Prince Albert II. Frontiers is proud to acknowledge that four of our experienced travel agents have cruised with Silversea including Jill Jergel and Mollie Fitzgerald
Regent Seven Seas Offers outstanding value and is a great choice for families looking for a cruise in the luxury market.  Frontiers co-owner Mollie Fitzgerald experienced Regent in January 2010.
Oceania Cruises With larger ships than the other members of the high-end cruise set, Oceania Cruises distinguishes itself with a country-club casual atmosphere on board (no formal nights, ever!), interesting itineraries and exceptional epicurean offerings under the capable aegis of Jacques Pepin, executive culinary director for Oceania Cruises since the line’s inception. In 2010 they are adding 30 new ports of call to their already vast repertoire.
Seabourn Frontiers is pleased to be a member of Seabourn's Pinnacle Club, a small and exclusive affiliation of the cruise line's top partner agencies. Several of our travel specialists are experts on The Yachts of Seabourn, generally regarded as one of the most celebrated lines in the ultra-luxury tier of small ship cruising. We’ve had over a dozen clients on board the larger Odyssey, which debuted in 2009, and all reports have been uniformly fabulous!
