Discover Awasi Iguazú in Argentina
Added: Mon 15th Jan 18
Frontiers is excited to share that Awasi Iguazú has recently been added to the Awasi portfolio, and is a part of the Relais & Chateaux collection. Only a 1 hour, 55 minute flight from Buenos Aires, Awasi Iguazú is the first of its kind located on the Argentinian side of the Iguazú Falls - so no visas are required! Awazi Iguazú is all-inclusive and offers 14 luxurious suites (including one master suite) located in a private reserve on the edge of the River Iguazú, just 15 minutes from the falls. Designed with privacy in mind, the accommodations and the spacious living area feature local materials and jungle views. Each room is stand-alone and built on stilts for minimal environmental impact. The luxurious accommodations are further complemented by outstanding cuisine and related services.

Adopting the same philosophy as all Awasi hotels, you will be assigned a private vehicle and guide per room, providing guests with personalized services and tailor-made experiences. As well as private excursions to the falls, Awasi Iguazú develops unique and innovative jungle excursions, which will allow you to experience not only the falls, but also the fauna, flora and indigenous cultures of the surrounding Atlantic Rainforest. Take a boat ride at the Triple Border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, visit the native Guarani village and take a walk through Awasi’s Reserve where you will be greeted by butterflies, orchids and hummingbirds. Explore the untouched jungle of Iguazú National Park with your choice of guided activities including photography, bird watching, wildlife viewing and learning about the local history and people.

Why You Need to Visit Awasi Falls

The Iguazú Falls are the most impressive waterfalls in South America and are situated on a basaltic line spanning the border between Argentina and Brazil. Iguazú means “Great Waters” in the Guaraní Indian tongue. The exuberant virgin rain forests, the red earth, the amazing wildlife and the impressive view of 275 waterfalls plunging over a 250 foot precipice into the mysterious Devil’s Throat gorge, wrapped in a dense cloud of mist and myriad rainbows are  all part of the adventure. The water rushes down at a rate of 6,000 cubic feet per second. Their height is greater than Niagara’s by approximately 70 feet and their width by one half.

Located in Misiones Province in the Northeastern tip of Argentina and bordering the Brazilian state of Parana to the north, Iguazú National Park, jointly with its sister park Iguaçu in Brazil, is among the world’s visually and acoustically most stunning natural sites for its massive waterfalls. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984.

Pricing begins at $760.00 per person per night.

All services will include:

  • Transfers to and from the airport
  • Lodging in exclusive villas
  • Meals featuring the best local ingredients
  • Beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Private excursions, a 4x4 vehicle and a private guide to design the excursions that best suit your preferences and interests
