Experience Australia Like Royalty
Added: Tue 23rd Jan 18

Prince Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle have officially been invited by the Australian Minister for Tourism, Steven Ciobo, to spend their honeymoon down under… "From the world's best beaches and endless coastlines, to the vast and ancient landscapes of the interior to our vibrant cites and thriving food and wine scene, Australia has it all."

While the world awaits the royal couple’s decision on their honeymoon venue, Frontiers would love to help plan your dreamy couple's getaway - whether it is an anniversary, honeymoon, babymoon, or just a new adventure together,  we can help you celebrate like royalty. We are excited to share some of our favorite properties, which also happen to be on the Minister's list of romantic recommendations!

Saffire Freycinet

Saffire Freycinet is Tasmania’s luxury lodge and coastal sanctuary, discreetly positioned overlooking Great Oyster Bay, Cole’s Bay and Hazard Mountains. For walkers and hikers attracted to pristine wilderness experiences, Tasmania is a perfect destination with over 1,800 miles of world-class walking tracks. With the Freycinet National Park on the doorstep, there’s a world of deserted islands, wild bushland and secluded beaches to explore from Saffire. Saffire has developed a range of activities from bushwalks to gourmet picnics in remote locations and quad biking through the national park. A must do is a guided hike to Wineglass Bay to the lookout with outstanding views of the coastline where you can make your way down to the long white silica sand beach. Another unique experience will have you donning waders at a working oyster farm to understand the wetland and marine ecology before sampling the prized Pacific oysters!

Saffire will be hosting two exclusive wine weekends with International Wine Communicator of the Year, Tyson Stelzer, showcasing the finest Tasmanian Wines and benchmarks from Champagne and Burgundy. Saffire Pinot Noir Weekend is scheduled May 18 – 20, 2018 and Sparkling Saffire Weekend will be held July 20 – 22, 2018.

Longitude 131°

Longitude 131° is located in the heart of Australia, this property is the quintessential glamping experience. The focus of this area is the cultures of the Anangu people of Uluru. Sundown at the UNESCO World Heritage listed Uluru is not to be missed as the ever-shifting light reflected over the rock is constantly changing from oranges and pinks to vibrant reds as the sunsets. The perfect ending to the evening is dinner at Table 131° under the stars while being entertained by aboriginal dancers and a didgeridoo player. Besides the long list of included activities, other private adventure options from Longitude 131° include camel rides, Harley Davidson motorcycle tours, scenic helicopter and plane flights or bush tucker (native Aussie food) tours. Recent updates at Southern Lodge include a dedicated spa, private balconies with fireplace and outdoor lounge (perfect for sleeping under the stars!) and the expansive Dune Pavilion 2-bedroom suite with expansive views of both Ululu and Kata Tjutu. Combined with world-class cuisine and exclusive experiences, Longitude 131° promises an unforgettable encounter with this spirited land.

Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s “Field of Light” was been extended through 2020. This solar-powered light installation consists of over 50,000 frosted glass spheres coming to life under the stars allowing visitors to walk amongst the pathways of the exhibit.

Southern Ocean Lodge

Southern Ocean Lodge is a world-class wilderness lodge on Kangaroo Island offering the ultimate in luxury blending seamlessly with the natural environment. Kangaroo Island has been compared to the Galapagos of Australia. With 21 national and conservation parks, and awe inspiring coastal scenery, it is the premier location to see all of Australia’s wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, echidnas and seals. Although the packages includes unique guided experiences and adventures, we can organize a selection of private tour options with specific themes such as food and wine focused activities, photography, meeting local artists, birdwatching or meet local scientists doing conservation field work. This is an exceptional way to explore island life, enjoy a private lunch site barbeque and get up close to the Island’s wildlife. The lodge is perched on a dramatic cliff top and offers panoramic views of the wild Southern Ocean.

Lizard Island

Lizard Island is the ideal property to stay to explore the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Offering privacy paired with personalized service, and a luxury lodge of Australia, Lizard Island is truly like nowhere else. Lizard Island’s secluded location within a National Park enriched with diverse Australian wildlife, fauna and flora and bounded by 24 powdery private beaches, makes Lizard Island a unique holiday destination for you to discover. The Island is a 60-minute flight north of Cairns to Australia’s northern-most island beach resort located right on the Great Barrier Reef. The newest addition to the property is the Villa sitting atop the ridge with spectacular views of the clear blue Coral Sea. The secluded location, private plunge pool and private dining with your own personal chef make this a perfect private retreat for honeymooners or to celebrate a special occasion. Besides the host of activities on property, you can also dive and snorkel the Inner or Outer Reef, or charter the MV Fascination for private diving or fishing for Black Marlin from September to December.
