Book Now for Upcoming Season in the Southern Hemisphere (Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, and New Zealand)

As your trusted travel advisors, we would be negligent if we did not caution you to book now for fishing destinations in the Southern Hemisphere for this upcoming 2023-24 season. If you need help navigating the various lodges to find the right fit, please contact us. We have a longstanding history in these regions and deep knowledge with the lodges. Given the travel required to reach Argentina or New Zealand, you might also consider extending your fishing with some sight-seeing, touring, and other activities. Our staff can help to plan all aspects of your trip, door-to-door. Need a few ideas for inspiration? Consider these:

Argentina

  • Hosted Trips: longtime Frontiers hosts and professional photographers and traveling anglers, Barry and Cathy Beck, once again are leading multiple trips to Argentina including Estancia Tecka & Argentina Waters (Nov/Dec 2023), Laguna Verde (Feb 2024), San Huberto & Pilo Lil (Mar 2024), and Estancia Tecka (Mar 2024).
  • Combination Itineraries: Tour the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina famous for malbec wines and boasting over 1200 wineries complemented with active high-country adventures and culinary exploration. Visit the 8th wonder of the world – Iguazu Falls – on both the Argentine and Brazilian side with private tours and 5-star accommodations. Trekking, glacier hikes, history, and a starry sky with no ambient light. El Calafate, Argentina is the eastern gateway to Torres del Paine National Park and an active traveler's mecca by itself.

New Zealand

  • The Allure of New Zealand: Widely recognized as the very best destination in the world for stalking and sight-casting to wild trophy trout in spectacular surroundings, it’s imperative to book as far in advance as possible.  Availability at the great lodges Down Under is already limited during the peak summer season.
  • So Much More Than Fishing: Extended itineraries are perfect to experience New Zealand's many world-class experiences beyond fishing from wine and culinary experiences to hiking, nature and wildlife, Maori culture, and adventure and adrenaline.  After all, New Zealand is also the home of Middle-Earth!
