In honor of the upcoming National Yoga Day on June 21, Frontiers and our friends at Great Plains Conservation are excited to announce that there are two new exclusive Wild Studio Yoga retreats being offered in one of the most spiritual locations on the African continent!
November 30 – December 4, 2018
December 4 – December 8, 2018
These four-night retreats will take place on the edge of the Chyulu Hills in southern Kenya, where you’ll enjoy sunrise and sunset meditation and yoga sessions with incredible views across the wildlife-filled plains to Mt Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Few places in the world bring the elemental energies of earth, wood, fire, sky and water together so perfectly.
You’ll enjoy the finest luxury in terms of accommodation, guiding, service and cuisine at the highly-acclaimed, ol Donyo Lodge. A member of both Relais & Châteaux and National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, the lodge embodies the high standards of sustainability, hospitality, community involvement, and service these organizations require. Their suites are built into the rock, each with private plunge pools and rooftop star beds. Your retreat program will include sunrise yoga, enriching workshops to further your yoga knowledge, sunset meditation and/or restorative yoga practice. Sessions will be led by Binita Shah, a conservationist and yoga teacher who has been practicing for over 10 years and is passionate about keeping yoga authentic.
Compliment your yoga safari at ol Donyo by adding on a photographic safari, gorilla trek, or beach holiday in East Africa that will allow you to further explore the fascinating cultures, incredible wildlife, and majestic landscapes of this wonderful part of the world. We would be pleased to customize a special trip for you and/or your private party based on your personal objectives.
Making the offering completely unique – in between your yoga sessions there will be adapted activities offered by the lodge. As well as days spent exploring vast areas of natural habitat, you can also experience silent walking safaris, horse riding, cycling, exploration of lava tunnels and wildlife drives. Relaxation and pampering will be encouraged, with plenty of time for in-room massages and lounging by the pool. Being immersed in this raw wilderness will awaken all your senses, and you’ll reach a deeper sense of calm. As you slow down to nature’s pace, your appreciation and connection to the wildlife and landscapes will be heightened, and encounters with the biggest elephants in the world, which this area is famous for, will be life-changing.
Non-yoga participating partners are welcome and can choose to partake in any of the property activities or yoga sessions the group will be enjoying.
Each of the four-night packages includes internal flights, the yoga program, accommodations at ol Donyo Lodge, meals, drinks and activities for $2,607 per person. Please note these rates are applicable to double and single occupancy. No single supplement charge applies.
